We are seeking a Volunteer SEO Specialist to help us enhance our online presence and reach more individuals to join the Alliance. Commitment: 6-10 hours/month Position Overview: The Volunteer SEO Specialist will assist in developing and implementing effective SEO strategies to improve our website's visibility and search engine rankings. This role involves conducting keyword research, optimizing website content, and analyzing performance metrics to drive traffic and support our mission. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with our team to create and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to increase organic search visibility and traffic. Identify relevant keywords and phrases to target using tools like Google Keyword Planner or similar. Help optimize website content, including meta tags, headers, images, and internal linking structures to enhance SEO performance. Help us set-up and effectively utilize google ad grants Work closely with the content team to ensure alignment with SEO best practices, offering guidance on content creation and optimization. Assist in auditing the website’s technical aspects (e.g., site speed, mobile-friendliness, crawlability) and suggest improvements. Monitor and analyze website performance using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console, providing insights to the team. Keep informed about the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry developments to ensure strategies remain effective. Share knowledge and best practices with staff, promoting an organization-wide understanding of digital marketing. Qualifications: Basic understanding of SEO principles and practices. Familiarity with SEO tools preferred (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Ad Grants) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Passion for non-profit work and a commitment to the organization’s mission. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
