Tower WAV is a transportation company that provides wheelchair-accessible rides on ride-share platforms. We seek a mid-level Safety and Compliance Associate to join our team. As the Safety and Compliance Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our safety standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and promoting a safety culture throughout the organization. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement. Monitor and analyze safety metrics to identify trends, implement corrective actions, and measure the effectiveness of safety programs. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and proactively address emerging safety issues. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and develop strategies to prevent recurrence. Foster a safety awareness and accountability culture by promoting safety initiatives and engaging employees at all levels. Qualifications Experience in safety and compliance management, preferably in the transportation industry. In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation safety and compliance (e.g., DOT, FMCSA, OSHA). Strong analytical skills to assess safety risks, conduct investigations, and implement effective solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train employees and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities. Professional certifications in safety and compliance (e.g., CSP, CHMM, CDS) are highly desirable.
