Job Description

Are you a dynamic leader with exceptional business skills who loves taking on new challenges? Our busy hotel is looking for a stellar director of sales and marketing to create a revenue strategy that maximizes profitability for everyday sales in areas such as rooms, dining, catering, and events. We need someone ready to be the voice of our brand and manage the marketing budget to enable the development of property-specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral to generate revenue and meet property targets. Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate market trends to determine pricing to balance costs, competition, and supply and demand
  2. Recruit, train, and develop your team to serve your customers better
  3. Generate new business while also increasing customer loyalty by cultivating long-term relations with patrons
  4. Produce accurate sales reports that include marketing budgets, current market share, direct sales, and outline marketing strategies
  5. Achieve sales team goals and yearly sales targets and plan and implement short and long-term marketing plans

Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Prior sales and marketing experience of 5+ years, including some in a sales management role, is required
  • High school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing or hospitality
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategies and best practices
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
