Position Overview:

High Desert Hearing Center is looking for a patient-focused Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) to join their established and collaborative team. This role focuses primarily on adult patient care, helping individuals navigate their hearing loss journey with confidence and expert guidance.

With a collaborative team of Audiologists, Hearing Instrument Specialists, and Assistants, the incoming provider will focus on hearing aid fittings, programming, and follow-up care—delivering personalized solutions and outstanding patient experiences while following best practices for hearing healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct hearing evaluations and consultations for adult patients.
  
• Recommend and fit appropriate hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
  
• Perform hearing aid programming, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance.
  
• Provide patient counseling with empathy and education to support informed treatment decisions.
  
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation.
  
• Collaborate with a supportive and experienced hearing healthcare team.
  

Requirements:

• Active Colorado Hearing Instrument Specialist License (or eligibility for licensure).
  
• Strong interpersonal and counseling skills.
  
• Commitment to patient-centered care and delivering exceptional service.
  
• Previous experience in hearing aid fitting and dispensing is required.
