Job Description

Hemisphere Restaurants is a Minnesota based, hospitality-driven, and customer-focused team. We specialize in upscale casual, full-service & fast casual restaurants as well as full-service event catering.

We are looking for an Executive Chef to launch a new polished, casual dining concept in Golden Valley. Our ideal candidate has multiples years of managing a high volume, fine dining restaurant, with uncompromising values and commitment to excellence. The Executive Chef will be the culinary leader in a kitchen, overseeing all aspects of food preparation and kitchen management. Additional duties include assisting the General Manager in the day-to-day fast-paced operations, and leading the staff.

Job Description:
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of every dish, ensuring consistency, quality, and visual appeal.
  • Control kitchen costs by managing inventory and minimizing waste.
  • Manage the kitchen staff, including training and overseeing all Assistant Kitchen Managers and hourly associates
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all OSHA Guidelines.
  • Train kitchen staff on new cooking techniques, presentation methods, and menu items. Foster a culture of learning and culinary excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Oversee kitchen maintenance, cleaning schedules, and health inspections.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations.


Requirements

Job Requirements
  • 2 or more years experience as an Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or in Kitchen Management in a high volume, fine dining restaurant
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills for interacting with staff, suppliers, and customers.
  • Keen eye for detail in food preparation, presentation, and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Understanding of the business side of running a kitchen, including cost control, budgeting, and inventory management.
  • Ability to innovate and create unique dishes and menus.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends and holidays.
