About This Opportunity: We are seeking a talented WordPress Web Developer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for enhancing our web presence by developing responsive, high-performance WordPress websites. The ideal candidate will have experience in customizing WordPress sites with Gutenberg, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and various modern tools. A key focus will be on improving mobile responsiveness, accessibility, and multi-language support. You will collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers to create visually appealing, user-friendly, and highly functional websites that meet business goals. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating high-performance websites. You should have a strong understanding of modern web technologies, be comfortable working in a collaborative team environment, and have the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. You should also be eager to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in WordPress development, accessibility, and web performance optimization. Responsibilities: WordPress Development: Build and maintain custom WordPress websites using Gutenberg, ACF, and relevant plugins or frameworks. Ensure sites are optimized for performance and scalability. Mobile Responsiveness & Design: Develop responsive, mobile-first websites that work seamlessly across all devices and browsers, ensuring optimal user experience. Multi-language Development: Implement multilingual website features using tools like WPML, ensuring the content is easily accessible in multiple languages. SEO Optimization: Work with SEO stakeholders to ensure websites are optimized for SEO best practices (e.g., using Yoast SEO or RankMath), including fast-loading pages, structured data, and clean markup. Custom Gutenberg Blocks: Develop custom Gutenberg blocks tailored to project needs for reusable and dynamic content management. Custom Fields & Templates: Use ACF to create custom fields, templates, and layouts for dynamic content management across the site. API Integrations: Work with APIs and third-party services to extend site functionality, including e-commerce integrations, CRM systems, or other business tools. Accessibility Standards (WCAG 2.1): Implement and maintain accessibility standards to ensure websites are inclusive for all users, adhering to WCAG 2.1 guidelines. Performance Optimization: Optimize website performance through techniques like caching, lazy loading, image compression, and reducing requests for faster load times. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with design, content, and marketing teams to ensure alignment between business goals, user needs, and technical feasibility. Bug Fixes & Troubleshooting: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to WordPress development to ensure the smooth functioning of the website. Documentation: Maintain documentation of development processes and workflows for internal and client reference. Requirements: Experience : Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with hands-on experience in Gutenberg, ACF, and building responsive websites. Technical Proficiency : Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), PHP, and WordPress development practices. Responsive Web Design : Extensive experience in building mobile-first, responsive websites using frameworks like Bootstrap or custom media queries. SEO & Web Performance : Experience with on-page SEO best practices and performance optimization techniques (e.g., caching, lazy loading, image optimization). Accessibility Standards : Solid understanding of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and how to apply them to WordPress websites. Version Control : Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development workflows. Debugging : Familiarity with debugging tools such as Chrome Developer Tools, Query Monitor, and other troubleshooting tools. Multilingual Support : Experience building multilingual websites using WPML or similar tools. Collaboration : Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (designers, content creators, SEO specialists) and work both independently and in a team environment. Preferred Requirements: Headless WordPress : Experience with headless WordPress or integrating WordPress with REST APIs for a more flexible development approach. E-commerce Integration : Familiarity with integrating WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms into WordPress sites. Multisite Support : Experience working with WordPress Multisite for managing multiple websites from a single installation. Advanced Front-End Frameworks : Familiarity with React, Vue.js, or other JavaScript frameworks is a plus.
