Base pay range

180,000.00 / yr - $220,000.00 / yr

POSITION SUMMARY

The Vice President of Tax will lead the strategic tax planning and compliance efforts across our expanding portfolio. This role is responsible for developing and executing tax strategies that optimize cash flow, minimize liabilities, and ensure full regulatory compliance at the federal, state, local, and international levels. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in tax structuring, M&A, and SALT, and will serve as a key advisor on all tax-related matters. This leader will work cross-functionally and with external partners to establish best-in-class tax policies and reporting practices that support the company's rapid growth.

• Leading a proactive approach to tax planning that results in significant cost savings and enhances financial transparency and reporting accuracy

OBJECTIVES

• Develop and implement tax strategies that minimize tax liabilities and optimize cash flow
• Optimally structure domestic and international portfolio investment transactions (M&A + Commercial Partnerships) from a tax perspective
• Manage tax basis of holdings and investments as well as make recommendations on monetization strategies from a tax efficiency perspective
• Work closely with external tax advisors, auditors, and other professionals
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation and filing of federal, state and local tax returns for the group companies
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, filing deadlines and internal controls for the group companies
• Establish and maintain robust tax policies and procedures to minimize exposure and ensure compliance
• Manage SALT strategy and compliance for the group
• Conduct tax research to stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and rulings
• Support of other tax related activities

COMPETENCIES

• Mastery of international and US federal tax regulations and strategies
• High level of proficiency with state and local tax regulations
• Ability to effectively manage cost of programs and external service providers
• Ability to ensure timely, accurate tax filings and comprehensive reporting
• Ability to develop and implement effective tax strategies
• Clear and concise communication of complex tax issues
• High level of competency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating tax risks to minimize potential financial and compliance exposure

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• CPA highly preferred
• International tax experience
• Master's in Taxation, LLM in Taxation, or JD highly desirable
• 10+ years of experience in tax advisory or tax related executive roles

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
