Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Pikeville, KY
Facility Type: 340-Bed, Level II Trauma Center
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: 4x12-Hour Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Orientation: GSA Hours (48 hours) – Note: Not guaranteed during orientation week
Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours/week
Radius Rule: Must live 75+ miles from facility
Charting System: Epic

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab environment

Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures

Monitor patient condition pre-, intra-, and post-procedure

Participate in rotating on-call schedule and respond to call-backs as needed

Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, sterile technique, and patient monitoring

On-Call & Weekend Requirements

On Call: 6–8 days per 6-week schedule, including some weekends/holidays

Weekend/Holiday: As needed per call rotation

Floating: TBD based on facility needs

Required Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience

Epic charting experience required

Candidates must be resilient, adaptable, and collaborative

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment

Required Certifications (Must be submitted with application):

Active KY RN License or Compact RN License

AHA BLS – Basic Life Support

AHA ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

NIHSS – Stroke Certification
