Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate OBGYN Surgery Scheduler to join our healthcare team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth coordination of surgical procedures, optimizing patient care, and supporting our clinical staff. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient confidentiality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures for OBGYN providers across multiple facilities.
• Communicate with patients regarding surgery dates, pre-operative instructions, and required documentation.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure accurate and timely scheduling.
• Maintain and update surgical calendars and patient records.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients and families.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all aspects of patient interaction and documentation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or medical office training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical scheduling, preferably in OBGYN or surgical services.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
• Proficiency in EMR systems and scheduling software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
