Job Title: SPED Autism Paraeducator
Location: Sterling, VA 20164
Duration: 29 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (7 hours/day)
Hours per Week: 35
Pay Rate: $42–$48/hr ($1,365–$1,560/week)
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated SPED Autism Paraeducator to support a Special Education Autism classroom in Sterling, VA.
ResponsibilitiesSupport classroom instruction under the direction of the teacher and Special Education team.
Provide one-on-one or small-group assistance to students with autism.
Assist with implementing IEP goals, behavior-support plans, and data collection.
Encourage communication, social interaction, and daily living skill development.
Maintain a structured, safe, and positive learning environment.
Help with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and student supervision.
Support students during transitions, specials, and school activities.
Use appropriate de-escalation and behavior-management techniques as needed.
Experience working with students with autism or in a special education environment (preferred).
Ability to follow instructional guidance and implement individualized supports.
Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving abilities.
Comfortable assisting with behavior strategies and data documentation.
High school diploma required; relevant coursework or paraeducator certification preferred.
Must be able to lift, assist, and support students when necessary.
