About the Role

The Company is in search of a Senior Counsel for Intellectual Property. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support in trademark and copyright transactional matters, as well as intellectual property clearances. This includes advising on, drafting, and negotiating a variety of agreements such as production, distribution, and intellectual property licenses. The role also involves reviewing and advising on IP rights and clearance matters for both short-form and long-form content across various media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a JD from an accredited law school, be admitted to the New York Bar, and have a minimum of 10 years' of relevant legal experience, with a preference for those with both law firm and in-house experience. Applicants for the Senior Counsel position at the company should possess superior drafting and communication skills, a strong ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to managing tasks in a fast-paced environment. The role requires the ability to balance multiple challenging tasks and a commitment to the core competencies of the organization, which include accountability, adaptability, communication, critical thinking, inclusion, professionalism, and teamwork.
