About the Role : Primarily responsible for coaching and mentoring all drivers within the Colonial Transportation Solutions Group. Contribute to a team environment by conducting all training operations. Identify and communicate clear expectations for drivers and the success of the organization. Help remove obstacles in the way of achieving results and establish a sense of urgency for all drivers to act decisively and solve problems. Provide uniform training and safety cadence for all transportation related services.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct all training for onboarding new drivers.
• Conduct training procedures for ongoing and continuing education for all Colonial Transportation Solutions drivers.
• Utilize all safety platforms for training the CTS drivers.
• Oversee all drivers assigned to your region and all driver training operations.
• Conduct and ensure we are getting checks completed in the field.
• Follow up with all accidents in your region and train to mitigate them in the future.
• Perform site and delivery audits across the fleet on a regular basis to drive loading and unloading procedure accountability.
• Coach and mentor drivers utilizing our ELD and driver safety management system.
• View our driver scorecards and focus on pockets of opportunity to raise our overall safety score.
• Responsible for training of all delivery expectations and service standards.
• Ensure all training records are completed for each driver and paperwork is submitted correctly, organized, and timely.
• Train and coach drivers to mitigate product contaminations or all incidents to develop a “zero” culture.
• Coach and mentor drivers to follow-maintain our accountability guidelines.
• Ability to communicate and work with all levels of an organization.
• Train our drivers on the Smith Driving System program and ensure all drivers in your region are certified.
• Establish a field presence and engagement cadence to inspect what you expect.
• Other duties as assigned by the Regional Driver Training Manager.
