Join the dedicated team at SSM Health, a leader in exceptional healthcare services and innovative medical practices, as we seek an experienced Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant for a PRN/Filling position. This opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate along with malpractice insurance coverage, though it does not include additional benefits.

Preferred qualifications:

• Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant (PA) Program.
• Prior experience in Interventional Radiology is preferred.
• Experience as a Surgical PA in vascular surgery, wound care, or hospitalist/ICU.
• Master’s Degree from a nationally accredited physician assistant program.
• Certification as a physician assistant in the State of Missouri or eligibility to obtain.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive relationships with patients.
• Dedication to staying updated with advancements in healthcare to enhance clinical skills.

Core responsibilities:

• Focus primarily on inpatient procedures with some outpatient clinic responsibilities.
• Availability to work 3-4 shifts per week, handling an estimated volume of 10-15 patients daily.
• Perform procedures including venous access, PICC lines, mid lines, arterial lines (vascular access), and ports.
• Conduct minor bedside procedures such as catheter and suture removals.
• No afterhours call responsibilities.

Work will be conducted at SLU Hospital and the Center for Specialized Medicine (outpatient clinic connected to the hospital).
