Job Description

Veterinary Dental Specialties is seeking a skilled and professional Practice Manager to join our San Diego team. As the Practice Manager, you will play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of our practice. We proudly serve our community with the best dental pet care possible. We pride ourselves on our outstanding customer service and our excellent patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the hospital
  • Personnel management including recruiting, hiring, performance reviews, disciplinary actions including termination
  • Hold regular staff meetings to keep staff informed, provide relevant training, and allow for team feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Create a positive environment where employees feel empowered and supported.
  • Ensure team delivers quality and empathetic service to clients and patients.
  • Ensures payroll is accurately completed and submitted for all hospital staff.
  • Manages accounts receivable
  • Develops and implements hospital policy, including DEA/Controlled Substances and OSHA compliance.
  • Execute local marketing strategy such as social media, community outreach and CE events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hospital management or Veterinary supervisory experience.
  • LVT preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Capable of leading, managing, and coaching staff at all levels.
  • Demonstrated competence in all aspects of staff management, including hiring and coaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • A commitment to outstanding client service.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance.

Salary: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Schedule: 40-hour week (Monday-Friday)
