Office Manager / Bookkeeper

Based in Lakewood, CO

Colorado Independent Drivers United – Driver Support Organization (CIDU-DSO) is a worker organization, affiliated with CWA Local 7777, representing gig workers in Colorado, primarily Uber and Lyft drivers. For years, app-based workers have had their rights and their input into their working lives restricted. Finally, after years of struggle we were successful in passing legislation which provides education, transparency and deactivation protections for rideshare drivers.

CIDU is seeking a full-time Office Manager/Bookkeeper to ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the organization and to support its financial and administrative infrastructure. This position is essential to maintaining strong internal systems, transparent financial practices, and organizational accountability as CIDU continues to grow.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Office Management
  • Maintain organized administrative systems for record-keeping, scheduling, correspondence, and supplies.
  • Support smooth office operations including coordination of meetings, technology, and internal communications.
  • Assist in onboarding new staff and maintaining personnel files and HR documentation.
  • Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of reports, filings, and grant deliverables.
  • Coordinate with CWA Local 7777 Leadership for meeting space and inter-organizational events
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile accounts, and maintain general ledgers.
  • Prepare and submit payroll in coordination with external vendors or HR staff.
  • Assist with budget tracking, financial reporting, and grant reporting requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with IRS, CDLE, and local reporting requirements including 501(c)(4) documentation.
  • Help ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements, including SB24-075 financial reporting obligations.
  • Coordinate with outside accountants, auditors, and vendors for annual audits and tax filings.
  • Support internal control systems that promote accountability and ethical financial practices.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support to CIDU Staff.
  • Help manage scheduling, travel arrangements, and document preparation for meetings and public appearances.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in nonprofit, union, or mission-driven administrative and/or financial work.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other standard financial/accounting tools.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with SB24-075 or similar gig worker protections in other jurisdictions.
  • Experience working with immigrant, low-wage, or multilingual worker populations.
  • Multilingual ability (Spanish, Amharic, Arabic, Nepali, or Kiswahili) is a plus.

CIDU - DSO offers a competitive salary starting at $75,000 – $85,000 based off of experience and qualifications and excellent benefits including family medical, dental and vision, paid time off, retirement, etc.
