The team at Revitalize U Med Salon and Spa provides an all-inclusive cosmetic experience. We are looking for someone that is energetic, enjoys a fast- paced work environment, and provides superior customer service to guests.

Position Summary

This position will be responsible for providing guests with the best experience possible. The primary responsibilities include providing hair cutting, coloring, and styling services tailored to individual preferences and hair types. This position is also responsible for cross-promoting other med spa services and stylists.

Position Responsibilities

  • Consult with guests to ensure services meet the customer’s expectations.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, techniques, and products to offer personalized services and recommendations.
  • Communicate with guests throughout scheduled appointment time with regards to ticket totals, services performed, and add-on service options.
  • Be informed of services offered at Revitalize U.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Possess and maintain necessary tools to provide services. Use all salon provided equipment with respect and assist with maintaining salon equipment in good working order.
  • Participate in photoshoots and outside education that Revitalize U provides.
  • Other projects and/or duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited Cosmetology school or apprenticeship program.
  • Valid and active State of Iowa Cosmetology License.

Experience Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience working in an upscale salon providing professional services.
  • Working knowledge of salon/barber products and services.
  • Strong communication skills to build long lasting client relationships..
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Capable of working effectively in a team setting.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing work environments.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Basic mathematical knowledge is required, such as subtraction, multiplication, and division skills.

Physical Demands

  • Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be necessary.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours a day).
  • Small motor skills will be required to cut hair, comb hair, and manipulate scissors and other small tools.
  • Bending, squatting, and reaching.
  • All duties to be performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.
