Overview:


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated custodian to join our Christian school community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to Christian education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a nurturing and engaging working environment.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities:

Due to the size of the school, it is imperative that this candidate can work independently to ensure the daily cleanliness of the school. The primary responsibilities of this position are janitorial in nature, with small repairs and seasonal property maintenance as needed.

We would like to find a candidate that can step into a "Facilities Manager" role as the school expands, and additional custodial and maintenance staff are hired. The candidate must attend church regularly and be able to pass a background check. The nature of the job requires that a candidate be physically fit and able to safely climb ladders and operate equipment such as power tools and a zero-turn lawn mower.

The hours for this position will be 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The timeline and expectations of the cleaning/maintenance schedule will be shared with the candidate during the interview process.

Job Requirements:

• Pass a background check to work around children
• Classroom surface cleaning, dusting, and sanitizing
• Floor sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping
• Restroom commode and sink cleaning, sanitizing, as well as re-stocking consumable restroom supplies
• Empty classroom and office garbage
• Change industrial lightbulbs
• Window/glass cleaning
• Whiteboard cleaning
• Change air filters on mini-splits and ventilation systems
• Minor repairs to facility
• Move and assemble desks/chairs/furniture in and out of classrooms and the storage areas.
• Mow lawn/field in spring and summer as well as other landscaping maintenance duties.
• Be willing to be on-call for emergencies
• Be willing to use a personal vehicle to run errands specific to this position.
