Your New Role As Director of News, Reporting, you will shape and direct CNN's International text-based coverage across digital platforms, with a focus on the US time zone. You\'ll bring strong editorial judgment, global perspective, and a passion for international news to guide our journalism at the highest standard. Your Role Accountabilities Set and oversee daily editorial priorities for CNN's international text output across digital platforms and internal alerts. Lead and develop a team of reporters and editors, driving assignments and shaping impactful coverage. Manage the full editorial process- from story conception to reporting, writing, editing, and publishing. Direct coverage of major breaking news, ensuring accuracy, speed, and best-in-class reporting across platforms. Partner with editorial leaders across CNN, aligning international reporting with network-wide priorities and standards. Maximize resources across newsgathering teams, supporting editors to deliver stories with reach and impact. Represent international teams in editorial meetings and foster collaboration across time zones. Qualifications 10+ years of leadership experience in media, digital, or related industries, with a strong editorial vision and deep knowledge of global news. Proven expertise in shaping digital editorial strategies and delivering distinctive, multi-platform content that engages audiences. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, set strategic goals, and drive results in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments. Strong understanding of real-time and long-term audience metrics, with the ability to translate insights into growth strategies. Exceptional writing, communication, and collaboration skills, with experience working across time zones and fast-changing landscapes.
