We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of our business, from budgeting and cost control to financial analysis and strategic planning. This is a critical role that requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial management and accounting principles. If you're a seasoned professional with a strong background in finance and a passion for the construction industry, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all financial operations of the company, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and capital structure.
2. Implement and maintain rigorous financial controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
3. Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
4. Develop and implement strategic financial plans in line with the company's overall objectives.
5. Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
6. Collaborate with senior management to make informed decisions based on sound financial data.
7. Manage the preparation and publication of all financial statements and reports.
8. Ensure all financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
9. Manage relationships with external partners such as auditors, lawyers, and tax consultants.
10. Continuously assess and improve financial systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, cost control, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
4. Strong knowledge of financial accounting and internal controls.
5. Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
6. Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Proficient in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
9. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
10. Knowledge of the construction industry and its financial regulations is a plus.
