GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

River Parishes Community College (RPCC) is seeking a dynamic, personable, and results- oriented College Recruiter to join our team. The Recruiter plays a critical role in the college’s enrollment and outreach strategy by promoting RPCC’s programs, services, and student support initiatives to prospective students, parents, school partners, and the broader community. This position involves frequent travel to high schools, community events, industry partners, and other outreach opportunities to represent the college and guide students through the admissions process. Required Education: Associate’s degree with 3 year of experience in college recruitment, admissions, sales, public relations, or related field Substitution : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 1 year of experience in college recruitment, admissions, sales, public relations, or related field Skills: Strong public speaking skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and to communicate with a diverse community Ability to work independently and travel frequently, including evenings and weekends Innovative, creative, and energetic work style The ability to represent RPCC internally and externally Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion Excellent written and oral communication skills; competency with office technology and software. Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation Preferred: Experience working in a community college setting Experience with Ellucian Banner Experience with EAB Recruit or other Customer Relationship Management platform

PRINCIPAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY

Provides instruction to prospective students on all programs offered by the college (for-credit, non-credit, and adult basic education) Coordinate and develop recruitment events and special programs for prospective students, to include virtual and face-to-face events. Represent RPCC at middle schools and high schools, career fairs, community events, college nights, and employer sites across the River Parishes region and beyond. Build and maintain strong relationships with middle school and high school counselors, principals, workforce partners, and community organizations. Provide engaging presentations and campus tours to prospective students, parents, school groups, and visitors. Assist prospective students with the application process, including admissions, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities through the RPCC Foundation. Follow up with inquiries and applicants through phone, email, text, and CRM tools to ensure conversion and enrollment. Collaborate with academic and student support departments to promote specific programs, pathways, and wraparound services. Work closely with marketing and communications to develop outreach materials and digital content tailored to target audiences. Support the onboarding of new students by participating in orientation sessions, student welcome events, and first-year experience programs. Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and outcomes and provide regular performance reports. Participate in departmental meetings, training, and college-wide initiatives related to student enrollment and success. Develop and implement communication sequences in the Recruitment platform, “snail mail,” texting campaigns and phone call campaigns for prospective students. Provides regular and ad-hoc data analysis to the AVC of Institutional Advancement Maintains a shared media library of all event photographs and videos. Work in collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Communications to compile content for RPCC newsletters, email marketing campaigns, texting campaigns, including recruitment data, enrollment data and success stories. Work in collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Communications to engage target audiences on social media content to engage target audiences and identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content. Reports notable threats as appropriate. Other duties as assigned.
