About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Legal & Compliance Officer (CLCO) to join their Executive Leadership Team. The CLCO will be responsible for the legal and compliance functions at the enterprise level, providing strategic legal counsel to management and the Board, and leading a team in various legal matters, including commercial agreements, legal disputes, and corporate compliance. This role requires a J.D. from an accredited law school, with a minimum of 10 years' experience, particularly in complex labor and employment within the staffing industry. Transactional experience, especially in commercial contracts and M&A, is preferred, as is a background in private equity and related legal matters. The successful candidate will be a proactive, business-oriented attorney with a strong presence as a business partner. Key responsibilities for the CLCO include assessing and mitigating legal risks, ensuring corporate ethics and compliance, and managing outside counsel and legal systems. The role also involves overseeing labor and employment issues, regulatory matters, and security. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the business, be adept at managing business risk/benefit analysis, and be willing to work outside of normal business hours as necessary. The CLCO will serve as a leader for a shared service team across the enterprise and will be expected to perform additional duties as requested by management or the Board.
