About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer to oversee its compliance, ethics, and risk management functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the institution and its employees adhere to all relevant federal and state laws, as well as internal policies and procedures. This role involves formulating and implementing compliance strategies, conducting risk assessments, and managing special projects as directed. The Chief Compliance Officer will also be expected to maintain professional development in the areas of higher education law and compliance, advise on legal matters, and conduct training for the college community. Applicants for the Chief Compliance Officer position at the company should have a Master's degree in a related field, with a preference for a Doctorate of Jurisprudence and admission to practice law in the State of New Jersey. A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in law, particularly in education or higher education law, is also preferred. The role requires a strong understanding of Title IX, experience in policy and procedure development, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The Chief Compliance Officer will be expected to work in a multi-cultural environment and must be adept at handling confidential information with the utmost discretion.
