Unlike some driver positions, this one gives you a better idea of the number of miles each week holds, which means you'll have a better idea of what to expect in every paycheck. And because you know your customers and their typical freight load, you'll never be surprised or slowed down by unusual shipments.
- Competitive pay:
- Experienced drivers average $1,211 per week/$63,000 per year
* Experienced drivers start at .50 cpm - Average 1,750 miles per week
- Stop and loading/unloading pay
* Average 5-20 stops per week @ $25 per stop
* $17.25 per hour for occasional forklift loading and unloading Pod to and from flatbed trailer - Home daily
- Monday-Saturday (Saturday work is required) working 4:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
- Will receive daily dispatch via phone call, text or qualcom
- Delivering to 18 portable storage unit locations, all warehouses
- Location will unload and reload unless the driver is asked to assist
- Then return to the Hub and deliver the containers or stop in route to deliver or pick up additional containers
- Required to operate forklift to load and unload themselves, also to assist the yard man in his duties when business levels are high
- Required to know the proper way to secure the containers; strapping and unstrapping is required
- Forklift training will be performed on-site by the Site Manager or Operations Manager
- Drivers will be expected to make multiple Hub stops as the customer routes require CDL-A Dedicated Local Truck Driver Benefits:

- Must live within a 100-mile radius
- Minimum of 6 months' verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years, no additional training required
- Minimum of 1-4 months' verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past year, 3 weeks of paid training
- Minimum of 6 months' verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 5 years, 1 week of paid training
- Must have a Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age
- No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years
- No convictions for DUI or DWI within the past 5 years
- No suspensions or revocations for a moving violation within the past 5 years
- No serious violations within the previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with a fatality)
- No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years
- No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years Essential functions:
- Lift and move side kits -lift requirements: 46 lbs
- Secure load with chains and hardware - lift requirements: 80 lbs
- Climb onto and off of the flatbed trailer/load
- Count freight
- Complete fuel tickets
- Complete delivery receipt
- Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs
- Perform pre-trip inspections
- Drive
- Extensive travel - ability to sit upright for extended periods of time
- Regular predictable attendance
