Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category strategies that maximize sales, profit, and market share.
  • Work closely with Sovos’ Insights Team regarding market research and analysis to understand consumer trends and category dynamics.
  • Analyze sales data and develop solutions to optimize product assortment, placement & space allocation plans.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders, including key retailers.
  • Work with sales teams to develop and implement strategic account plans.
  • Work with Sovos Customer Marketing on development of optimal promotional strategies based on market and category analysis.
  • Execution of accurate monthly and weekly syndicated data sales reporting, including consumption dashboards and executive reports.

Skills & Values Requirements

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to problems.
  • Market Research and Analysis: ability to identify key trends, and develop strategies based on research.
  • Business Acumen: Sound understanding of Retailer and CPG manufacturer business principles, including sales, marketing, and operations.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Dealing with Ambiguity and Complexity: Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects and deliverables at once.
  • 4-year College Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years if CPG Sales / Sales Strategy Experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Category Management Experience
